A Christmas habit is the Christmas gift (aguinaldo). The day of Christmas Eve, children's groups go to their neighborhood's houses and they sang songs in exchange for gifts

The last day of the year the New Year's Eve takes place, after having dinner, at 12 o'clock on the dot of the night, millions of Spaniards eat the grapes of the luck while the big clocks of the cities and towns give the twelve strokes of a bell. Everybody takes a grape grain for each stroke of a bell.

The night of January 5, after going to the Three Wise men's Cavalcade, all the children leave their shoes in a visible place of the house, and they retire to sleep with the illusion of to wake up and to discover the gifts that Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar have left them. To have breakfast, or after eating, the family takes the typical candy of this day: "Reyes' roscón"
